چکیده
Increased serum high sensitive C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) in asthma and its association with disease severity has been investigated many studies. This study aimed to determine hs-CRP status versus healthy controls examine ability predicting control. is a comparative-descriptive observational was carried out the TB & Respiratory Medicine, N.C Medical College Hospital over period of 6 months. Total 70 patients (both old newly diagnosed cases) were selected for case group on maintenance treatment including inhaled corticosteroids bronchodilators according guideline asthma. In our present study, total included which 38 (57.4%) males. most 51-70 years i.e., (54.2%), followed by 31-50. The mean hs CRP Case are 4.31±1.46 control 0.83±0.07. Pulmonary function test using Spirometer s done all (case control). FEV1 values compared against hsCRP values. Statistical significance assessed Spearman’s correlation. showing highly significant negative correlation FEV1.

متن کاملC Reactive Protein as a Marker of Asthma Control
CRP is a marker of inflammation and increased levels have been associated with aging, smoking, cardiovascular diseases, connective tissue disorders and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Asthma is defined as a state of chronic inflammation where various cellular elements are involved. It is reasonable to expect elevated CRP levels in this chronic inflammatory disease. Hs-CRP assays a...
